A moment to share performed by Charles Fox
| | : well, you know what we do with "collaborators"... : Yeah, I agree with you. I do love this tune's chord changes. They are unexpected but dramatic. For me, So Kind To Me is my most favorite track in this soundtrack, especially the last overlapped chorus is terrific. Anyway, Love American Style, Girl, Love Boat...the more I know about Charles Fox's works, the more I think he is a genius. : This is really, really nice. So typical of late '60's American soundtrack music.
There was another film out at the same time called 'April Fools' and it had a very similar sound. Lovely horns!

Come and Get This Stuff performed by Syreeta

| | : I'd forgotten about this album. Thank you for reminding me. Absolutely wonderful. I especially loved the bits when Stevie's voice suddenly appears out of nowhere.
I rank this album with all the great acclaimed Stevie Wonder albums of this (1971-76) era.
I can't say that the song you've chosen is one of the high points, though.

Desire As performed by Prefab Sprout
| |
| | : I love Prefab Sprout and Paddy is a great songwriter. Having said this, I do think I would love the band and their output even more were Paddy's vocals LESS SWEET! I mean, just about everything in their entire output seems to be bathed in honey, syrup, or treacle from his sugar-lined voicebox. : Yes but isn't that the point of Prefab Sprout? That it was the sweetest pop you could taste. The best love song writer I've ever heard.

| |
| | : Brilliant track! Funnily enough, I just put this on a compilation last weekend. While I like this version best, there are also interesting versions in French (Brigette Bardot) and Italian (Mina). : um grande cantor! infelizmente foi injustiado e morreu sem ter o reconhecimento merecido! uma pena!

| | : i am new hear Querry! sorry i see you say we can up load a sound bite to this web site. I mean i was wondering, is it legal? Dont we have to have permission or anything? : You can post a short clip, which will count as 'fair use'. An mp3 of around 30 seconds at a bitrate of 64kbps should give people a chance to hear what the fuss is about without offending anyone.

The Look Of Love performed by Diana Krall
| | : It reminds me of some of Ogerman's work for Verve/CTI in the late 60's. Really the nicest version of this song in years.

Wantin’ Ain’t Gettin’ performed by The Association
| |
| | : Alright! I've compiled this one before too. I think the sitar/drum break at the top has been sampled more than a few times. The tune almost sounds like a tribute to Ravi Shankar & The Lovin' Spoonful simultaneously...Right On! : This was a song written by my father, Michael Deasy Sr - who played guitar on most of the Association's stuff. He did a couple of psychedelic albums, Friar Tuck and his Psychedelic Guitar and Tanyet - both cutting edge classics. This song was an interesting exploration for the Association guys.
