I'd have to say that my musical tastes are unusually widely-drawn, but I do have certain recurrent preferences. The extent to which a representative sample appears here in my recommendations is, I think, limited by the fact that I've felt the need to adhere to some notion of song as opposed to other musical forms - user konsu makes a very good point about this in his profile. In the final analysis, I am mainly using this series of recommendations as a kind of personal reference. My interest in music has no connection whatever with perceptions of "coolness" or fashion.
