This is a cover song of a famous tune by Ruby & the Romantics but it's a totally different type of music from the original. Its orchestration and chorus are outstanding and dreamy. Though Roger Nichols is famous now among Japanese pops fan, I don't think many people know him outside Japan. So I want more people to know his tremendous works!!

29 May 02 ·scrubbles: You're right, this is an excellent arrangement of this song. Where the original was yearning and romantic, this one is bright and perky. A gem! 10 Feb 03 ·konsu: Yeah! Also check out the Chris Montez version with the same kind of "perky" quality!
This track is from Neko Case's first solo effort of the same name.
Case was born in Virginia, raised in Olympia, Washington, and now lives in Chicago.
She did a degree in fine arts at the Emily Carr School of Art and Design in Vancouver, BC. It was in Vancouver that she joined grrll group Maow who recorded two CDs for Mint Records.
After Maow disbanded Case recorded her alt. country album 'the Virginian' also for Mint.
'The Virginian' is an astonishing song from a great solo debut by gifted artist.
'Set Out Running' is from Neko Case's second album 'Furnace Room Lullaby'. The album was recorded for Mint Records in Canada and is licensed to Bloodshot Records in the US.
Case has matured as a writer and 'Set Out Running' is proof. It is a haunting song of love, loss and fear, and never fails to move me I listen to it.
Keep an eye-out for a new release from Case. It is called 'Blacklisted' and is set to be released in the summer of 2002.
Neko Case and Her Boyfriends are currently on tour opening for Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.
This is an extremely energic song. Heavy drums and distorted guitars seldom sound this good .This is a song to hear late in the night , when the naschspiel is growing dull-crank up the stereo and put this on ,if it doesnt liven up the audience then nothing will.
Probably the slowest music I have I guess, from an album called The Blue Moods of Spain . Its dream-pop for evenings full of hope, or comforting music for days when all falls apart. The vocalist is not the worlds best , but because hes so natural it just adds to the mood I find. Its hard to pinpoint exactly what I like the most about it ,its just one of those songs u fall in love with and never grow away from.
