Walk dont Run  performed by The Ventures  1960
Recommended by texjernigan [profile]

When I was in second grade, my dad lent me this tape, and I remember listening to it on a sony walkman while riding on a bus to go to Arbuckle Wilderness in Oklahoma. The kid sitting next to me kept making fun of me for listening to it because he had Nirvana's Nevermind on CD, and I was listening to the Ventures. I was pretty embarrassed and jealous.

  02 Jan 07 ·texjernigan: damn right!
Just Forget  performed by Samurai Champloo - Enshirou Defeated
Recommended by texjernigan [profile]

Help me out here if you know more information on this. I don't know who performed it etc. It's from the hit Anime series, Samurai Champloo. Luscious, with a simple beat.

31 Dec 06 ·bobbyspacetroup: I like this one too. The artist is Force Of Nature.
Half Forgotten Daydreams  performed by John Cameron

This track is so beatiful, and i find it popping up in a lot of degradingly funny places; its one of those tracks you hear in situations that are extremely sexy, though if you watched Nacho Libre, you might have noticed a more ironic use of the track.

Musical Pocket Watch Theme  performed by Ennio Morricone  1965
Recommended by texjernigan [profile]

This is the first track of Ennio Morricone's that I liked that wasn't inherently WESTERN, though it did come from the film, "For a Few Dollars More," the best of the trilogy if you ask me. The melody is delicate and fresh, especially coming from the perspective of one that hadn't yet heard the rest of his non-western music.

from For a Few dollars more
available on CD - for a few dollars more
