I would say that I have an extremely varied musical taste. I grew up listening as a little kid to such veterans as The Moody Blues, Richard Harris (MacArthur's Park, anyone?), Bee Gees, Kiss, Harry Chapin, Pink Floyd and just about anything else that Top-40 or "oldies" radio may have provided. I was between 10 and 18 during the 80's, so I was absorbed into pop culture by MTV and top-40 radio, with a little classic rock thrown in for good measure. Then in college, I was a dj at the college station, a classic rock station and an Oldies station. So at this point I had managed to add Dead Can Dance, The Replacements, REM, Pavement, Tori Amos, Peter Gabriel, Rare Earth, Blood Sweat & Tears, and Metallica.
Now I still enjoy it all. Classical pieces such as the Adagio for Strings by Samuel Barber (from Platoon), Buddy Holly (Rave On), Miles Davis (Kind of Blue), A Tribe Called Quest (Can I kick it?), de la Soul(Hey Buddy), Boz Scaggs (Sierra) or Oakenfold.
