15 Mar 03 ·konsu: Alright then... I'll say somethin' ! People who know their "Math Rock" talk about Slint as the first group that really nailed the sound. But pigeonholes aside, this is the best tune from their debut LP, and it has one of the spookiest grooves you'll ever hear. The bass line is dissonant and beguiling in it's girth, one I tried to imitate, but never was successful. These guys used to be in Squirrel Bait I believe(?) Also the drummer played on the kick ass first Breeders LP, "Pod"...Gettin' harder to find too...
