I really love late sixties/early seventies soft pop, A&M Records from the mid to late sixties and early seventies, Bacharach, Jimmy Webb, Roger Nichols, The Match, Al De Lory's production and arranging on Glen Campbell's late sixties albums, Nick De Caro, Tommy Li Puma, The Sandpipers, etc.
I like anything that is highly emotional and uses great arrangements. I also really love the 'countrypolitan' records from the early seventies for the same reason. Billy Sherrill was a great producer.
Regarding 'newer'music, I think the stuff that Siesta Records puts out, mainly the Ramon Leal produced and arranged records like Rita Calypso, is really great.
