I used to be a solid metalhead, my favorite band was Children of Bodom and Lamb of God. Now I only like about 3 metal bands, Gojira (the best band on the entire planet, they write the best songs, they are the most skilled at their instruments and at writing kickass songs that have no sense of conformity to traditional song structure, and each of their albums has a unique sound that is completely perfect. i dont care if you disagree, and you cannot say i have an irrational love for this band.) Opeth and Daath (just the latest record, which is the best DM ive heard since the last gojira record came out.)
ever since i got out of metal about a year ago, ive gotten in bands like Camel, Ozric Tentacles, Pelican and Isis. I love Joe Hisaishi's score for Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away (I'm currently trying to learn One Summer's Day on piano -_- he's too good. it's hard.)
I'm currently in a prog rock/metal/wtf band called Brain Cavity. I'm also still the bassist for Lethal Strike. I also run a one man project called Weathered Effigy that I'm trying to write material that I can challenge myself with and make it listenable to normal non/metalheads.
