I used to only listen to joke music. Weird Al, Arrogant Worms.
Then I listened to Smash Mouth.
Then I only listened to Billy Talent and Gorillaz. Mostly Gorillaz.
Then I went through a short metal phase which ended when I heard System of a Down for the first time.
Then I went into an indie phase for a while. Metric, Death From Above 1979, also bands like The Strokes, MSTRKRFT, etc.
Then I listened to nothing but ska for about 3 years. Ska, ska punk, ska-core, ska-jazz, if it had "ska" in it's genre, I was there.
Then after 3 years, I got bored of all ska all the time and nothing else.
I still like ska, but I try to keep open ears to anything and everything that I hear.
Now my musical tastes range from jazz to metal to punk to ska to pop to hip hop to funk to soul to swing, big band, rap, hardcore, experimental, funk metal, etc. etc. Plus the really weird stuff that doesn't really fit into any other genre.
That's me. For now.
